Domain promo code — what the registrars' own pricing pages print
Conclusion: no standing public promo code is printed on any of the three official registrar pages we opened on 2026-10-27 — Porkbun's domain pricing page at porkbun.com/products/domains, IONOS's page at ionos.com/domains/domain-names, and Cloudflare Registrar's page at cloudflare.com/products/registrar. How we checked: we fetched each page's full source on that date and searched it for “promo code”, “coupon code” and “referral”. “promo code” returned 0 hits on all three. “coupon code” returned 3 hits, all on Porkbun's cart page, where the phrase labels the code-entry field. “referral” returned 1 hit, in IONOS's footer, as a link labelled “Refer a Friend”. None of the three hits is a code. Coverage: those three pages, read on 2026-10-27, and nothing beyond them.
What does move the price is printed on the same pages, and it is not a code — it is the first-year figure set against the renewal figure. Both are listed side by side below, exactly as published:
[after:false] and its after-price section is empty. Each row was read on 2026-10-27 from the page named in column three. No code appears here because none appears on an official page we opened, and no discount percentage is claimed — the only percentages on this page are ones a registrar prints itself.

| Which Porkbun rows carry the “1st Yr Sale!” badge | Badge present on .org, .io, .app, .xyz and .dev. Absent on .com and .net, where the registration figure equals the renewal figure. No end date for the sale price is printed on the page. | porkbun.com/products/domains | 2026-10-27 |
| IONOS first-year price vs its struck-through price | Read 2026-10-27: .com $1 with $20 struck through; .net $1 with $20; .org $1 with $20; .io $40.99 with $90; .app $12 with $25. Each row is marked “for 1 year”. The .com row's badge reads “Save 48%”, which does not match the two figures printed beside it — we report both figures as printed and do not adjust or reinterpret the badge. | ionos.com/domains/domain-names | 2026-10-27 |
| IONOS renewal price Not printed on this page |
The price block carries [after:false] and the after-price section is empty, so no second-year figure is published there. The page's own FAQ states the contract renews automatically every year unless you cancel. |

| Cloudflare Registrar pricing policy | Page states: “Registration, transfer, and renewal prices are always at or below what registries and ICANN charge us.” FAQ states Cloudflare Registrar does not mark up domain prices at all. No per-extension figure is printed on this page, so none is quoted here. | cloudflare.com/products/registrar | 2026-10-27 |
Same extensions, same day, two registrars that print their own numbers. Nothing in this table is an estimate, a conversion or an average — every cell is a figure copied from the row it sits next to.
| Extension | Porkbun registration | Porkbun renewal | IONOS first year | IONOS struck-through price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| .com | $11.08 | $11.08 | $1 | $20 |
| .net | $12.52 | $12.52 | $1 | $20 |
| .org | $7.98 | $11.84 | $1 | $20 |
| .io | $28.12 | $51.80 | $40.99 | $90 |
| .app | $8.75 | $14.93 | $12 | $25 |
| .xyz | $2.04 | $14.21 | Not listed on the page we read | |
| .dev | $8.75 | $12.87 | Not listed on the page we read | |
The IONOS column is labelled “struck-through price” rather than “renewal” on purpose: that is what the page shows, a figure with a line through it beside the first-year price, and the page does not say the second year will be billed at that figure. On a narrow screen this table scrolls sideways — the two IONOS columns sit to the right.
data-price-registration and data-price-renewal in US cents; those attributes are what the page's own script uses, so they are the figure to trust if the visible text and the attribute ever disagree. It does not print a promo code, because none appears on an official page we opened on 2026-10-27. It does not state a renewal price for IONOS, because IONOS does not print one on the page we read. It does not convert currencies, average anything, or compute a percentage — the only percentages on this page are ones a registrar printed itself. It does not name or link to any third-party coupon site, and it does not conclude anything about codes that may be issued to a specific account, because none of that is on a public official page.
Namecheap is the registrar that does publish monthly codes, which makes it the counter-example to the registrars above. Namecheap promo code — WORKMODEDOM, WORKMODEPE, WORKMODESSL, NETDEAL1168.
Not on any of the three official registrar pages we opened on 2026-10-27. We fetched the full source of Porkbun's domain pricing page, IONOS's domain-names page and Cloudflare Registrar's product page and searched each for “promo code”, “coupon code” and “referral”. “promo code” returned zero hits on all three. “coupon code” returned three hits, all on Porkbun's cart page, where the phrase labels the code-entry field. “referral” returned one hit, in IONOS's footer, as a link labelled “Refer a Friend”. None of the three hits is a code. This finding covers those three pages on that date only.
No standing public promo code is printed on Porkbun's own pages. What Porkbun prints instead is a first-year price and a separate renewal price for each extension, and on several extensions the first-year price carries a “1st Yr Sale!” badge. If you are holding a code that Porkbun refuses at checkout, Porkbun promo code — the rejection message word for word, and where the code field is quotes the fixed message its cart page prints and names the five cases in it.
Because the registrar prints two different numbers for the same extension. On Porkbun's pricing page, read 2026-10-27, .io is listed at $28.12 for registration and $51.80 for renewal, and .xyz at $2.04 for registration and $14.21 for renewal. On .com and .net the two numbers are the same: $11.08 and $12.52. The difference is a published price, not a hidden fee, and no code is involved in either figure.
Cloudflare's Registrar page, read 2026-10-27, states that “Registration, transfer, and renewal prices are always at or below what registries and ICANN charge us”, and its FAQ states that Cloudflare Registrar does not mark up domain prices at all. That page does not print a per-extension price list, so we cannot quote a .com or .io figure from it and do not.
For the first year, IONOS prints $1 (with $20 shown struck through and the offer text “for 1 year”), and Porkbun prints $11.08. For renewal, Porkbun prints $11.08, the same number as its registration price. IONOS does not print a renewal or after-price figure on the page we read, so we cannot state its second-year cost and do not.
On the registrar's own domain-pricing page, and read two numbers rather than one. Porkbun prints both in visible text and again in the page's own attributes data-price-registration and data-price-renewal, in US cents. IONOS prints the first-year price and a struck-through price with no after-price section on that page, so for IONOS the second-year figure is unknown until the cart or the contract states it.
